Easy Potato Salad: A refined and tasty classic

Reinvent your meals with our easy potato salad recipe. Perfect for picnics, barbecues or as a side dish, this classic salad combines the sweetness of potatoes with a flavorful vinaigrette for a simple but delicious dish.

Homemade potato salad

Ingredients :

  • 1 kg of firm potatoes
  • 1 red onion
  • 2 stalks of celery
  • 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons of cider vinegar
  • Salt and pepper
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Step by step preparation:

  1. Cooking the potatoes: Wash the potatoes and cook them in a large pot of boiling salted water until tender but still firm, about 15-20 minutes. Drain them and let them cool before cutting them into cubes.
  2. Preparation of vegetables: Meanwhile, slice the red onion and cut the celery into small cubes.
  3. Preparation of the vinaigrette: In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, Dijon mustard and apple cider vinegar. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Assembling the salad: In a large salad bowl, combine the potatoes, red onion and celery. Pour the vinaigrette over the top and mix well so that all the ingredients are well coated.
  5. Refrigeration: Cover the salad bowl and let the salad cool in the refrigerator for at least an hour to allow the flavors to blend.
  6. Service : Serve this easy potato salad chilled, garnished with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
