Ingredients

  • 250 ml of water
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 225 g of flour
  • Oil for frying
  • Sugar for sprinkling

Preparation

  1. Preparation of the dough: In a saucepan, bring the water, sugar, salt and vegetable oil to a boil. Remove from the heat and quickly add the flour, mixing vigorously until the dough is smooth.
  2. Shaping the churros: Place the dough in a piping bag with a large star tip. Press the dough into long sausages on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
  3. Frying churros: Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to a temperature of 180°C. Do fry the churros until golden brown, then drain on paper towels.
  4. Finishing : Generously sprinkle the hot churros with sugar.
